2. Information we collect

To meet legal, regulatory and operational requirements — including identity verification (KYC), customer due diligence (CDD) and financial crime prevention — we may collect:

  • Identification data: full name, date of birth, nationality, residential address, and government-issued identity documents (e.g. passport, driving licence, national ID).
  • Contact data: email address, phone number, postal address.
  • Verification data: selfies or biometric checks where required, proof of address, and electronic verification results from third-party providers.
  • Financial and transaction data: source of funds, purpose of transfer, beneficiary details, transaction amounts, dates and references.
  • Sanctions and PEP screening data: results of checks against sanctions, watchlists and politically exposed person databases.
  • Technical data: IP address, device identifiers, browser type, and limited usage data collected via cookies (see our Cookies Policy).
  • Correspondence: records of communications with our customer care and compliance teams.

3. Why we collect this information (lawful bases)

We process personal data on the following lawful bases under UK GDPR:

  • Legal obligation: to comply with UK anti-money-laundering, counter- terrorist-financing, sanctions and record-keeping requirements.
  • Performance of a contract: to onboard you as a customer and (once operational) to process and monitor transfers you request.
  • Legitimate interests: to operate, secure and improve our website and services, prevent fraud, and manage our business.
  • Consent: for non-essential cookies and any optional marketing communications — which you can withdraw at any time.

4. Sharing of information

We share personal data only where necessary and on a lawful basis, including with:

  • Authorised payment partners and banking providers used to deliver transfers.
  • Identity verification and fraud prevention providers.
  • Regulators, law enforcement and other public authorities where required by law.
  • Professional advisers (legal, audit, compliance) under duties of confidentiality.
  • Technology service providers operating under written data processing agreements.

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for third-party advertising.

5. International transfers

Where personal data is transferred outside the UK (for example, to facilitate remittance payouts in Kenya), we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or equivalent contractual protections.

6. Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out above. In particular:

  • KYC, CDD and transaction records: retained for a minimum of five (5) years after the end of the customer relationship or the date of the transaction, in line with UK Money Laundering Regulations.
  • Complaints records: retained for the periods required by applicable regulation.
  • Website and cookie data: retained for the lifetime described in our Cookies Policy.

After the applicable retention period, records are securely deleted or anonymised.

7. Security

We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data we process, including access controls, encryption in transit, secure authentication, and ongoing oversight of our service providers.
